Star Performer 100mm – Cellular Concrete Block

The Star Performer Cellular Concrete Block is a cellular dense aggregate block designed with three internal cavities to deliver excellent thermal efficiency and strength. Unlike traditional solid dense blocks, the three-cavity design reduces weight without compromising load-bearing capability, offering compressive strengths of 7.3 N/mm². This concrete block achieves a thermal performance around 45% better than solid dense blocks, making it a ideal choice for both energy efficiency and structural reliability.

These blocks are easier to handle and quicker to lay, improving on site productivity. Suitable for a wide range of applications including inner leaf walls, party walls, and below DPC, the Star Performer Cellular Block provides a one block solution for modern construction needs.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Thermal Efficiency: 45% better than a solid dense block.
  • Acoustic Performance: Air pockets provide great sound insulation properties.
  • Versatile Applications: Suitable for use as the inner leaf of cavity walls, and applications below DPC.
  • Strength and Durability: 7.3n , the Star Performer block ensures robust performance in load bearing applications.
  • Easy to Handle and Cost-Effective: Lightweight and easy to handle, shortening laying times.

What mortar joint thickness should I use?

Use a 10 mm mortar joint for correct bedding and alignment.

Can I render or plaster onto them directly?

Yes. Their surface provides a strong key, just make sure to brush off debris and rake back any smooth mortar joints.

What fire rating do they provide?

For load bearing walls 2 hours and for non-loadbearing 4 hours of fire resistance.
