Description
Stop ends are essential at each end of a lintel to prevent moisture from cascading over the ends and into the cavity, which could potentially cause dampness on the inner walls. The use of stop ends provides a quick and cost effective solution to introduce a lintel feature that directs water away from the cavity, reducing the risk of water damage.
Stop ends can be securely attached to the lintel’s moulded base with a butyl anchoring strip. This ensures the stop end is positioned correctly in alignment with the masonry perp joint. Once installed, water discharge from steel lintels is effectively directed through brickwork weeps, preventing moisture from entering the cavity.
