Wienerberger K209 Blue Engineering Brick

The K209 engineering brick is a perforated brick manufactured using a extruded wirecut process. It offers high compressive strength and low water absorption, making it ideal for foundations, retaining walls, and other load bearing applications.

It should only be used as an engineering brick as they are not subject to the same level of inspection for surface irregularities or colour variation as a facing brick.

How many bricks are in a full pack?

A full pack consists of 400 bricks.

Will there be colour variation with this brick?

Yes, these are not manufactured for aesthetic appeal therefore there may be different shades of blue/purple

Can you get a sample of the brick?

Yes, please contact us by emailing sales@gilmorebuildingsupplies.co.uk

Can these bricks be used as facing bricks?

No, we do not recommend it. If you require blue facing bricks then use our Ibstock Staffordshire slate blue bricks.

Why is the colour inconsistent?

Blue engineering bricks can come out with purple or brindled variations due to the slight inconsistencies in the manufacturing process, specifically the oxygen levels during firing.
