Apply for a Trade AccountThe ARC T-Barrier® Pitched Roof is a fully tested IFC certificated cavity barrier with a stalk to ensure correct positioning of the cavity barrier, specifically designed for use at the top of the party wall brickwork. The ARC T-Barrier® Pitched Roof has been rigorously tested to meet or exceed the performance requirements laid out in UK and Irish Building Regulations, helping to ensure safer homes.
The ARC T-Barrier® Pitched Roof is designed to provide a fire and thermal barrier between the top of the party wall blockwork and the underslaters felt. The product is fitted along the length of the roof pitch, from soffit to apex ensuring an effective and consistent barrier.
The ARC T-Barrier® Pitched Roof is easily installed once the party wall blockwork is complete, with the unique T-shape being held in place by compression between the two leaves of party wall blockwork.
The person installing the T-Barrier® Pitched Roof should first familiarise themselves with the datasheet, ensuring the correct product is being fitted into the cavity.
All performance claims made are evidenced in the IFC certification IFCC 1728.

Yes, ARC T-Barrier® Pitched Roof can be used with either a pitched or flat roof, provided there is a party wall with a cavity, and a 25mm gap between the top of the wall and underside of the roof.
The polythene sleeve is there to provide product identification and protection from the elements and should therefore be left in place. It does not add to the performance of the product so can be safely cut into, and the product can still be used should the polythene be damaged.
