ROCKWOOL Fire Barrier EN is classified to BS EN 13501-2, with performance derived from tests to BS EN 1364-1 and BS EN 1634-1. In the right build-ups it achieves up to EI 120, and it’s been tested with both concrete and timber supporting constructions, service penetrations, and even in conjunction with a fire-resisting single-leaf timber doorset. The roll is wire-reinforced for stability and is typically fixed with a proprietary angle support and clamping plate. Its stone-wool core is also acoustically absorbent, helping cut flanking transmission through ceiling voids and above partitions.

From a compliance and sustainability angle, the product contains no gases with ODP or GWP, is recyclable, and has no hazardous classification under EU/UK REACH. For specifiers, it aligns with common NBS clauses for cavity barriers in partitions and suspended ceilings (K10/P10).
